In Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Chapter 241 of Jujutsu Kaisen, we see Takaba’s past as a person who is dedicated to comedy but had a difficult time connecting with people. In the midst of their fight, Takaba meets the inner Takaba, leading to such a moment of realization, and Takaba apologizes to Kenjaku. The former Takaba vows to take the fight seriously as he gets himself back on his confidence and cursed technique.

The first chapter begins with a flashback of Takaba from his days in university as he parades himself and a friend in a comedy skit. But he is accused of being aloof and brusque.
